Six generations of coffee farming just landed on retail shelves in Miami.

Estate 98 is now available at Total Wine & More locations across the Miami market. It’s the next step for a brand that started with two brothers, Andres and Jose Larin, and a family coffee estate at the base of two volcanoes in El Salvador.

Why Total Wine, and why now

Over the past several months, Estate 98 has been building momentum with Miami’s on premise accounts. Bartenders switched over from the usual coffee liqueur options because Estate 98 solves a real problem behind the bar: it’s dry instead of syrupy, and it’s concentrated enough to build a full coffee cocktail without pulling fresh espresso. Once bar guests started asking where they could buy a bottle for themselves, retail was the obvious next step. Total Wine & More gives Miami drinkers that access, right where they already shop.

What makes Estate 98 different

Most coffee liqueurs are built to mask a weak coffee flavor with sugar. Estate 98 goes the other direction. It has less than 1 gram of sugar per ounce, the lowest sugar count of any coffee liqueur on the market, which means the drinker controls the sweetness instead of the bottle. It also carries more caffeine than any other coffee liqueur on the market, so there’s a real lift behind the flavor.

None of that would matter without the coffee itself. Estate 98 starts with single estate coffee grown on volcanic soil at the base of Santa Ana and Izalco, shade grown, hand harvested, and honey processed right on site. That processing method is what pulls out the chocolate and citrus notes you taste in the glass. The Larin family has farmed this land for generations, and the underlying coffee has been recognized among the top coffees in the world by Illy Café.
